Class Descriptions

Yoga

  • Vinyasa Flow Yoga begins with a meditation, followed by a short warm-up, sun salutations, a series of standing postures, floor poses and ending with a relaxation and meditation. Suitable for all levels.

  • Slow Flow Yoga is a Hatha yoga class that flows beautifully with your breath. Let your heart shine as you strengthen your body and find your calm center.

  • Yoga with Shamali is an Iyengar-inspired yoga class focusing on proper alignment, strength and flexibility using props.

  • Restorative Yoga is a restful practice supporting the body with props and conducted the last week of every month.

  • Kundalini Yoga and Meditation helps balance and stimulate the glandular system, expand lung capacity and strengthen the nervous system making you radiant and vibrant!

Ballet

  • Beginning Ballet class is a fun way to improve balance, foot articulation, leg strength and flexibility. Join us at the barre for most of the class followed by a short center learning the basic movements of traditional ballet. All levels welcome.

  • Intermediate Ballet class with Matt takes you through a full bar and center with an upbeat pace and attitude!

  • Ballet Variations class is a fun way to learn many of your favorite classical ballet pieces. Pointe shoes are optional.

  • Pointe Technique will strengthen your feet and legs. Begin at the barre and advance to center with Classical Ballet Variations.

Flamenco (seasonal classes)

  • Flamenco Level 1: Learn the Flamenco Technique with this introductory class to the passionate dance of Flamenco. Flamenco shoes not required.

  • Flamenco Level 2 & 3: A joyous class of rhythm, energy and expression. This class explores the basic techniques used in traditional Flamenco dancing.

Belly Dancing (seasonal classes)

  • Come dance and let your feminine spirit fly! The purpose of this class is to enjoy yourself.

Stretch

  • Lengthen your muscles by moving through a number of gentle stretches, relaxing your body and mind.

Deep Stretch and Conditioning

  • Use momentum and swinging motions to warm up and increase range of motion in this intermediate class. Long holds are used to build strength and deep flexibility. Focuses include shoulders, legs and back. This is not a yoga class.

Spine Corrector

  • Pilates created this piece of equipment to encourage flexibility in the spine and core strength. Join us for a full body workout which leaves you feeling taller.

Special Needs Dance

  • A creative movement class highlighting leadership, cooperation, self-esteem and improvisational skills.

Pilates Mat

  • The Matwork is intended to strengthen the muscles along the spine and outward to the entire core from head to tail. The 36 exercise based program creates flexibility in the entire body but especially in the back. Becca’s class combines the traditional matwork exercises with reformer based exercises. She incorporates props to help achieve the goal of each exercise. All levels are welcome.

Yamuna Body Rolling

  • Yamuna Body Rolling technique is like doing yoga on the ball with ab work. It is so satisfying to lengthen out the muscles of the body, utilize your breath while expanding your knowledge of anatomy. Our first class will focus on legs and spine, leaving you feeling taller by the end of class.

Courses of the Month

  • Dance Classes for Kids: Offering Ballet and Jazz classes to kids ages 5-7+

    • Ballet: Learn beginning ballet positions, movements and terminology. Students will learn about musicality, directions and coordination. 

    • Jazz: This class blends technique and high energy fun! Learn dance terminology, movement and choreography. Students will develop strength, flexibility and coordination
